Bloomsburg Softball Drops Pair of Games
HICKORY, SC--The Bloomsburg University softball team dropped a pair of games on Tuesday to 11th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne College by scores of 3-0 and 1-0.
In game one, the Huskies gave up three runs in the third, but only managed three hits of their own. Lisa Bohner (Northumberland/Shikellamy), Missy Bachert (Coplay/Parkland) and Sheelin Fisher (Coplay/Allentown Central Catholic) all had singles for Bloomsburg.
In the nightcap, the game's only run was scored in the bottom of the first by the Bears on a Bloomsburg error. The Huskies did get a two-out triple from Melissa Leeper (Port Jervis, NY/Port Jervis) in the fourth inning and a two-out double from Bohner in the sixth, but could not score.
The Huskies, 2-5, play at Catawba College on Wednesday.
